Hello Kitty Pop Up Card

This is my first attempt at a Free Standing Pop Up Card that I made for my friend. I found the template on Split Coast Stampers. Of course I chose to make a Hello Kitty Card.
Here it is when it's open.
Hope you have a great weekend!

Cards from the party

These are the cards that we made at the Stampin' Up! party that I hosted on Friday. Kristin is such a great demonstrator!
We used the faux suede technique on this card.
This purse was made using just the top note die.
I really like this card using the lattice die and butterfly punches. It was so easy to make, but still looks really intricate.I love the new specialty paper with the glitter! And the corduroy button is super cute. The boarder punch is really cute too - I may have to order that next time! (This card looks a lot better in person, the picture just doesn't do it justice.)
This one was supposed to have a sentiment stamped on it, but I did the embossing too high so there wasn't space after I added the ribbon. I should probably follow instructions next time!
This card is so simple but so cute, especially with the flower button.
We had a great time making cards, eating and shopping! I can't wait for my order to come in!

Birds

We were watching TV this weekend and noticed a lot of birds flying around our yard. When we peeked out the window, this is what we saw...
They must have heard us cause they all started to fly away.
But they didn't go too far.
A few minutes later, they were back in our lawn.

Valentine Favors

I made these favors for my Stampin' Up! party that I'm having tonight. I cased these 3 drawer Valentine Boxes from Patti. I love Patti's blog - this is not the first time I've cased something from her! LOL!
Here's a close-up of one of the boxes, I used the Martha Stewart coordinating corner and border punch.
Here's all the goodies that I put inside the boxes. I decided to add some variety, so I used different candies and cookies.
Have a great weekend!

Another Birthday GCH

Here's another gift card holder that I made for a co-worker. I used this pattern for the card. I used a Stampin' Up! kit to make this card, no stamping involved!

I'm hosting a Stampin' Up! party on Friday, I can't wait!!

Christmas Gifts

I got a Christmas gift in the mail yesterday. I love getting gifts after Christmas because I feel like it extends Christmas, and I don't have to wait to open it! I hate waiting. My Aunt made this super cute calendar holder. LOVE Hello Kitty and cupcakes. It's so cute!
She even decorated the back!
AND she sent a ton of super cute paper!
Whooohooo! Thanks Auntie! I'm excited to do some crafting this weekend with my new paper! Hope you all have a great weekend!

Up-cycling

My good friend made these for me for Christmas. I love Hello Kitty, but I really like this gift because these containers have been up-cycled using empty Stampin' Up! containers. How great is that?!
Last year my goal was to make most of my gifts and cards, and I did a pretty good job. This year, on top of making gifts, I also want to try and use the supplies and materials I already have and not to by too much.

2010 - Back to Work!

First day back to work in the new year. It's so hard to get back in to the swing of things after the holidays. I made this calendar with drawers. I got my inspiration from Patti's blog.
I used the Stampin' Up! matchbox die to create all the drawers.
Hope you have a great week to start off the New Year!
