Thank You card with pocket

I needed a card that I could include a gift card as a thank you gift.  I used the Adorning Accents Edgelits die and Embossing folder.  I also used the Mixed Bunch stamp set and Blossom stamp set.  The sentiment is from the Curly Cute stamp set.

The sentiment is from a retired stamp set.

I like how this card turned out, now I just need to go get the gift card!

Thoughts of You

I’ve been making some cards for the stockpile.  I made this card as a get well card.  I used the Twitterpated DSP and the Riding Hood Red pleated satin ribbon.  I recently got the Beautiful Butterflies die and wanted to try it out. I also used the Petal Cone die to cut out the banner. The sentiment is from the Loving Thoughts set.

One thing I figured out was to cut the thread on the ends of the ribbon so that it could lay flat when I folded it over the edge and adhered it between the cardstock layers.  That way it was much less bulky.

I felt pretty smart, but I’m sure the rest of you already figured this out and I am just slow!  LOL!!

Nobu Birthday

Nobu has become a “go-to” stamp for all my boy cards. I’m so glad that Sister Stamps have release some boy images!

I kept the layout pretty simple – you can’t add bling or ribbons to a boy card after all! Smile

Have a great weekend!

Another up-cycled tin

A couple of months ago I posted some tins that I up-cycled as Christmas gifts. Well I decided to make another one for my cousin for her birthday. At first I thought the black ribbon might be too harsh against the Beyond the Garden DSP, but I actually like how it turned out.

I used the Labels Framelit to cut out her initial that I stamped using the Spencerian Alphabet set. I also embossed the framelit using the designer frames embossing folder to add more texture.

Late Valentine Post

I made a super easy Valentine using some retired DSP and the Hearts Framelits die.

Here is the inside of the card.  I love Glimmer Paper!

And these are the toppers that I made for my friend’s kid’s classrooms.  The 8 year old wanted kisses and the 7 year old wanted bubble gum.  Both got the taffy as filler =).

I don’t have a 3 day weekend, but if you do, hope you’re having a great day!

Apothecary Art Cards

I made 2 cards using the same basic layout and the Apothecary Art stamp set and Labels framelit die.  I also used the two different edgelits on these cards as well.

I love how the same layout, and even stamp sets, can produce such different cards.

Matchbox die favors

I made these favors for a stamp camp using the Matchbox die.  I embossed the box using the Vintage Wallpaper embossing folder.  I added some Tiny Tags sentiments that I punched using the Jewelry Tag Punch and attached with a safety pin from Vintage Trinkets.

I used the It’s A Wrap Occasions stamp set to decorate some chocolates to include inside the box.  I stamped a bunch of different sentiments to show everyone how versatile the set could be.

I love giving out favors at any kind of party – I mean, who doesn’t love some pretty chocolates?!

Keitaro and Miyako Valentines

I made a couple of Valentine cards using Keitaro and Miyako from Sister Stamps.  It is basically the same layout on both cards, but I changed the hearts and background paper.

DSC00629

Here is the inside of both cards.  The white heart is the smallest heart from the Heart Framelit die, and the red is the heart punch which I was so happy to see fit perfectly.  I also added some red glimmer hearts.  The small heart is from the 2-step owl punch and the larger glimmer heart is using the heart from the punch pack.  The sentiment is from Teeny Tiny Wishes – one of my favorite stamp sets!

DSC00630

The banner for both cards was cut using the Petal Cone die and I used the new Sweet Cake stamp set.  All the hearts were cut using the framelit dies and the paper is retired.

One more Lion Dancer card

I had to make one more Chinese New Year card for a friend, so of course I inked up the Sister Stamps Lion Dancers stamp!

DSC00622

For the sentiment, I used another die cut that my cousin gave to me from Island Scrapbooking.  I also scored some lines around the edge of the card to help balance out the card.

Twitterpated Mother’s Day

This card uses the Twitterpapted DSP and buttons from the Occasions Mini catalog.  I like the bright color palate for this suite.

DSC00599

This was my first project using the Pleated Satin Ribbon.  I really like that it is pre-sewn for you, it helps to stop the fraying.  This paper seemed appropriate for a mother’s day card, so that’s the sentiment that I used.

I’m sure I cased the idea to put the sentiment and button on the bird but now I can’t find the source.  I have no idea if this came from a magazine, catalog, blog.  If I find the location, I will update the post.

Thinking of You

This card was a stretch for me color-wise.  I used Bravo Burgundy and used the stamp off technique to get a slightly lighter color.  The stamp set is Fresh Vintage from Sale-A-Bration and the sentiment is from a retired set.

DSC00615

At first I was trying to make a single layer card that I could mail easily, but it didn’t seem complete, so I added the black grosgrain ribbon and some basic pearls for accent.

Just for You

I had a stamp camp last weekend and this is one of the cards that we made.  I used the new blossom punch and the Mixed Bunch stamp set.  The sentiment is from a hostess set.

DSC00605

I also embossed the card base using the Stripes embossing folder and added some Old Olive Scallop Dots ribbon.

Thanks for stopping by!

Melon Scented Embossing powder

Continuing with my posts of the new scented embossing powders (scroll down for my 2 previous posts for Vanilla and Cherry), here is my “melon” card.

I like how the watermelons really pop against the monochromatic card.

DSC00613

I used the Scallop Square Duo die and the scallop square punch.  I also used the Houndstooth textured embossing folder on the card base.  The watermelons are from the Mouthwatering stamp set.

Hope you have a great weekend!

Cherry Embossing Powder

The Sweet Shop DSP is a perfect match for this card.  I used the Mouthwatering stamp set and embossed the cherries using the Cherry scented embossing folder.

DSC00601

The sentiment is one of my favorites and is from the A Word For You set.  I also add a red glimmer paper cherry punched from the cupcake punch.
