Lucky me!

I was so excited to get this birdcage ornament from Jamie (Pretty Ditty) for Christmas! The picture below isn't very good and doesn't do it justice. It is the cutest birdcage - I love it!

Here's a closeup of the little bird.
Big plans for New Year's Eve? We're having dinner with some friends, it should be fun. See you back here in 2011!

Snowman Cake Pops

Along with all the holiday crafts, I've been baking a lot too. I know I swore I wouldn't make cake pops anymore, but I must be glutton for punishment because I made these snowman cake pops for a friend.
Here they are all wrapped up.
She needed 50!! of them.
These were a little easier since the stick is on top (as opposed to being like a lollipop and having the cake on top). But still took way longer than I expected and there were still casualties.

2 Wish Big

Taking a break from all the holiday cards and dug out my butterfly sizzlit. I made two versions of this card, one vertical and one horizontal.
With all the rain we've been having, I needed some spring inspiration.

Marina Mist Birthday Card

I made this card for my cousin's birthday. I used crumb cake and marina mist and sponged crumb cake ink over everything to give it a little more antique feel to go with the antique brad.
Things have been busy with holiday parties, shopping, wrapping and shipping!

Wild About You Thank You - #4

This is the last card that I made for my sister. This card uses the Wild About You stamp set. Scroll down to see the other 3 cards that I posted this week.
I did some paper piercing on this card to add some texture.
I made 3 of each of the 4 designs and will be giving these to my sister along with a return address stamp with my nephew's name on it and some Stampin' Spots. Hope she likes them!

Wild About You Thank You - #3

I think this giraffe is my favorite from the Wild About You set. I used the square lattice embossing folder to add texture to the background.
Just one more card of the set tomorrow.

Day of Gratitude birthday

I tried a color combo that's out of my comfort zone for this card. I used basic black, basic gray, whisper white and cherry cobbler. I used the Day of Gratitude stamp set and Teeny Tiny Wishes for the sentiment.

December already! This year has just flown by!

Season's Greeting Gift Card Holder

Here's another gift card holder I made using a retired stamp set. Still using up my Jolly Holiday paper scraps and the Cherry Cobbler and Old Olive color combo.
Here's a closeup. I had to make these pretty flat so I could mail them easily.
Have you recovered from the big shopping weekend yet?

French Foliage

A little break from Christmas tag posts since I'm still in a turkey coma! I made this 3x3 card using the French Foliage stamp set. I haven't really tried out the vintage/weathered look before, but I think this one came out pretty good. I think the linen thread helps complete the look.
I used the "rock and roll" technique on the leaves and I also sponged more color to the edges and over the top of everything.
Hope you're having a great weekend! Have you been to the malls yet? No midnight shopping for me - I need my beauty sleep! Hahaha.

Happy Turkey Day!

I saw this treat cup turkey on Julie's Stamping Spot and knew I had to CASE it!! Aren't these so cute?!! Mine are for little kids who only care about getting to the candy, so I didn't make mine a full card like Julie did.

I used the scallop oval punch, then used embossing folders to give the "feathers" some texture.
Happy Thanksgiving!

A Very Merry Christmas

I participated in Kyoko's tag swap this month for the first time. My swap partner is June. This month's swap is for November and December.

These tags were made using a retired stamp set and the Two Tags die. I also used the scallop square punch.
Here's a closeup so you can see the bling I added.
I also made these tags using a tag die and the ornament punch with a retired stamp set.
I also used the Versamark with sparkles in it to stamp the snowflakes for the background.
These are the tags that June sent to me. She did a great job with coloring all the tags.
Today is my "Friday" - no work for the rest of the week! Yay!

"Do Not Open" Tag

Here's a pretty simple tag, but I still like it. I'm really liking the Two Tags die!
I popped up the words with dimensionals.
I'm still on my tag kick. Stay tuned for another tag tomorrow!

More Tags

I made these tags as self adhesive tags rather than ones that you tie on. The frame is from the Matchbox Messages set and the sentiment is from Short & Sweet. I added on some red glitter glue for embellishment.
Here's a closeup of one of the tags.
Happy Wednesday!

Santa Gift Card Holders

I made these Santa gift card holders using the punch art Santa and using the gift card pattern that I got from Regional Swaps. I don't know who gave those two items to me, but they're such cute ideas I had to case them!
Here's the closeup of the Santa punch art.
And here's the gift card holder when it's open.
I'm really getting a ton of crafting in these days, it's been great! I think I'll be all set for Christmas by the end of the month - whoohoo!
