Butterflies

Did you watch the Super Bowl? Or just the commercials? Or not at all? I usually watch the game, but this year I just wasn't into it, I didn't really have a favorite team. The commercials were funny and we did eat good food =)

I wanted to use my new SU butterfly embosslit and border punch and saw this cute card by Nancy at iStamp. Nancy's card is way cuter, but I still kinda like how mine turned out.

I only attached the middle of the butterfly so the wings would add some dimension and used some pearls for the middle.

I also decorated the inside with some of the extra butterflies. I usually don't decorate the inside, but I think it looks cute. And I got to use my new SU sale-a-bration stamp for the sentiment.

Hope you have a great week!

Hello Kitty Pop Up Card

This is my first attempt at a Free Standing Pop Up Card that I made for my friend. I found the template on Split Coast Stampers. Of course I chose to make a Hello Kitty Card.
Here it is when it's open.
Hope you have a great weekend!

Cards from the party

These are the cards that we made at the Stampin' Up! party that I hosted on Friday. Kristin is such a great demonstrator!
We used the faux suede technique on this card.
This purse was made using just the top note die.
I really like this card using the lattice die and butterfly punches. It was so easy to make, but still looks really intricate.I love the new specialty paper with the glitter! And the corduroy button is super cute. The boarder punch is really cute too - I may have to order that next time! (This card looks a lot better in person, the picture just doesn't do it justice.)
This one was supposed to have a sentiment stamped on it, but I did the embossing too high so there wasn't space after I added the ribbon. I should probably follow instructions next time!
This card is so simple but so cute, especially with the flower button.
We had a great time making cards, eating and shopping! I can't wait for my order to come in!

Birds

We were watching TV this weekend and noticed a lot of birds flying around our yard. When we peeked out the window, this is what we saw...
They must have heard us cause they all started to fly away.
But they didn't go too far.
A few minutes later, they were back in our lawn.

Another birthday card - I told you that January was a busy month for me! I got this Stampin Bella Ketto stamp when I won Jenny's blog candy. I really like the stamp.

Valentine Favors

I made these favors for my Stampin' Up! party that I'm having tonight. I cased these 3 drawer Valentine Boxes from Patti. I love Patti's blog - this is not the first time I've cased something from her! LOL!
Here's a close-up of one of the boxes, I used the Martha Stewart coordinating corner and border punch.
Here's all the goodies that I put inside the boxes. I decided to add some variety, so I used different candies and cookies.
Have a great weekend!

Another Birthday GCH

Here's another gift card holder that I made for a co-worker. I used this pattern for the card. I used a Stampin' Up! kit to make this card, no stamping involved!

I'm hosting a Stampin' Up! party on Friday, I can't wait!!

Birthday Gift Card Holders

The last week of January is super busy with birthdays. Here's a card I made for my DH's niece. I love this gift card holder pattern. You can find the instructions on Paper Pleasing Ideas.
Inside view of the card - as you open the card, the gift card pulls up.
Side view.
Hope you're having a great Monday!
