Last Post… for now

As I mentioned earlier this week, I just don’t have time to keep up with my blog, so I’m taking an indefinite break. I felt kind of guilty just disappearing, so I decided to close out with some of the projects that I’ve been working on this year. I know there were more, but I can’t find the pictures now.

This picture didn’t come out so good because the gold paper is so reflective but I did like how it came out IRL. I used Sister Stamps Minako. You can hardly see it, but the card base is embossed with cherry blossoms for some added texture.

I hope that I’ll be able to do more crafting and blogging again soon. I’ll still be crafting when I can, so please follow me on Instagram @bytkg for my latest creations (I already have a couple of pictures out there!). Thank you all for your sweet comments and support over the past few years! 

Birthday Girls

The birthday girl is also another image from my cousin. I had to make 2 little girl birthday cards and I thought this image was perfect for both of them. I used pretty much the same layout, just tweaked it slightly.

Birthday Boy

This is an image from my cousin. There’s a ton of shapes and texture on this card. It is a little more “busy” than my normal layout, but I kind of like how it turned out. The die cuts are from Stampin’ Up!, as well as the sentiment.

3-D birthday card

For this card, I used a bunch of Stampin’ Up! dies and punches. I used the Flower Spiral for the flowers. I just curled them up tighter or looser to get the different size flowers. I really like that die, but I think it is better for boxes or other 3-D projects cause the flowers are kind of heavy, especially when you start adding multiples and makes the card floppy.

I’m Back – sort of…

I knew it was a super long time since my last post, but I didn’t think it was last year!!

I have a bunch of cards to post, but I’ve decided that after these last few posts, I’ll just share my projects on Instagram. I just don’t have time for blogging, but I still wanted to share out my projects so I thought that IG would be the easiest for me. So if you’d like to continue to see what I’m up to, please follow me there @bytkg.

Also, since I made these cards so long ago, I think I’ll just post the pictures up – partly cause I’m too lazy to figure out what I used, and partly cause I don’t remember!

For this card, I do remember that I CASE’d it from last year’s Stampin’ Up! catalog.

Happy Birthday Miyoko

Miyoko is one of my favorite Sister Stamps.  I used her again on this birthday card.  I also used my new sakura embossing folder that I got from Hanko Designs.

Below are the last 2 of my card designs this year.  I used the Sister Stamps Reindeer and Sleigh stamps.  I made a lot of these cards, so I kept them more simple, just adding in some shimmer snowflakes to frame the images.

Today is the last of the Sister Stamps Zodiac Images – the Rabbit.  Bunnies are my favorite animal, so I am partial to this stamp.  I found this scrap of washi paper and thought it would be the perfect background for my Rabbit.

Sister Stamps - Kiki

I only met the real Kiki once when I stayed with my cousin about 10 years ago in Hilo.  (Wow – has it really been that long ago?)  She would follow everyone around and you could hear her nails clicking on the floor as she walked around.  She was so cute!

For some reason, I always think of dogs as boys and cats as girls, so I made this card super girly. Otsu comes with both the ball of yarn and the present so you can switch them out to suit your needs.
