Just for You

I had a stamp camp last weekend and this is one of the cards that we made.  I used the new blossom punch and the Mixed Bunch stamp set.  The sentiment is from a hostess set.

I also embossed the card base using the Stripes embossing folder and added some Old Olive Scallop Dots ribbon.

Thanks for stopping by!

Melon Scented Embossing powder

Continuing with my posts of the new scented embossing powders (scroll down for my 2 previous posts for Vanilla and Cherry), here is my “melon” card.

I like how the watermelons really pop against the monochromatic card.

I used the Scallop Square Duo die and the scallop square punch.  I also used the Houndstooth textured embossing folder on the card base.  The watermelons are from the Mouthwatering stamp set.

Hope you have a great weekend!

Cherry Embossing Powder

The Sweet Shop DSP is a perfect match for this card.  I used the Mouthwatering stamp set and embossed the cherries using the Cherry scented embossing folder.

The sentiment is one of my favorites and is from the A Word For You set.  I also add a red glimmer paper cherry punched from the cupcake punch.

Vanilla Scented embossing powder

I tested out Stampin’ Up!’s new scented embossing powders.  The powders themselves have super strong smell, but once you heat them, the smell is diffused a lot.  You can still smell them, they just aren’t as overpowering as when it is in the powder form.

For this card  I embossed the ice cream cone using the vanilla scent.

I added a glimmer brad as the cherry on top!  I also added some Dazzling Detail for more sparkles.

Check back later this week for cards I made using the other scented embossing powders.

Love Doily Card

Sorry this post is late, I’ve been so busy being crafty this week that I forgot to post them all!

I made this card using the doily sizzlit.  I like how detailed it is, but you really have to add in extra shims and run it through the big shot a couple of times to make sure it cuts all the way through.  Now that I’ve figured out the right “sandwich” formula, it comes out great!

I stamped En Francais in the background using Pink Pirouette and used the Adorning Accents edgelits die and embossing folder.  I cut out the sentiment using the Labels Framelits die and added some Cherry Cobbler seam binding to help soften the card.

Have a great weekend!

Yoko Birthday

This is Yoko. I used some origami paper as the background and for my color inspiration for coloring up Yoko’s kimono.

Kung Hee Fat Choy!

Happy Year of the Dragon!

As you can tell, I really like this Lion Dancers stamp from Sister Stamps!  I used the Fancy Favor die and fussy cut out the stamp.  I also cut out just a strip of the gold paper to add an accent to the top of the favor bag.

On the back I used some die cuts from Island Scrapbooking that my cousin gave to me, and a new sakura die that I bought from Photo Craft on my last trip home to Hawaii.

I really like how this turned out.  Have a great new year!
