Class of 2012

My niece-in-law graduated from the 8th grade last week, so I made this Class of 2012 money holder card for her.  I used the 2-step owl punch and topped him off with a graduation cap.  I popped up the pennants to add some depth to the card.

I made this card using the Apothecary Art stamp set and labels framelits dies.  I also used embossing folders for added texture.

Yoshi Birthday

Here is my card for the boy twin who will be turning 3 tomorrow.  I used Sister Stamps Yoshi.  He seems so happy and playful, just like the birthday boy.

I like the wavy pattern on the DSP, I thought it helped to add some motion to the card.

Akemi Just for You

My friend’s twins are turning 3 this weekend.  They’re Hapa kids so I thought I would use Sister Stamps for their cards, but color them up with brown hair instead of my usual black.

For the girl, I used Akemi.  I love her Daba and the little curious bunny.

I used a lot of different pinks for this card since she is a very girly girl.  Check back on Friday for the other twin’s card.

Beautiful Butterflies Birthday

My friend’s birthday was this past weekend.  She’s a very “blingy” person so I added a bunch of rhinestones to the card.  I used the Beautiful Butterflies die and the Beautiful Wings embosslits die.

I added more butterflies to the inside of the card, along with the Blossom Bouquet Triple Layer punch.

Princess Anya birthday card

I had already made a card for our neighbor’s birthday (see previous post) but then I found out that she was having a princess themed birthday and I knew I had to use the Princess Anya stamp instead.  I used glittery paper and added glitter to the the crown and wand.

Sorry for the blurry picture, the lighting has been bad, so I either get glare or it is dark.

Miyako birthday

I used Sister Stamps Miyako to make this birthday card for our neighbor.  She is turning 5.  I thought that this DSP was perfect for Miyako, along with the heart cutouts.

Mother’s Day Card

I was going through my stash of DSP and I came across this retired paper and thought it would be perfect for a mother’s day card using Ayako from Sister Stamps.  I colored her in using the same colors as the DSP.

I added a little pocket for the gift card that I bought my mom.

I’m really happy with how this card turned out!

Happy Mother’s Day to all you moms out there!

Lattice Mother’s Day Card

I made this card for my mother-in-law.  I’ve had this lattice die forever and rarely used it, so when I saw this lattice card by Dawn Olchefske I knew I would be casing it.

DH wanted to send his mom a bouquet of yellow flowers this year, but his mom is going to be out of town, so I made her a yellow Mixed Bunch card instead.

Mixed Bunch Sympathy

I made this card for the stash and used the Mixed Bunch and Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp sets.  I wasn’t sure about the colors – Marina Mist and Basic Black - but I think it turned out okay.

One more Boy’s Day gift

My nephew is not quite 2 years old, and I don’t think he can eat gummy fish so instead I bought him a carton of Goldfish crackers.  I decorated the carton using all of the Sister Stamps release #7.

I only used the fish part from the Katsura stamp.  Here is Yoshi tumbling across the carton.

And here is Kenichi with his cute little doggie.

Boy’s Day Gifts

I made these little treat boxes for Boy’s Day.  I used Sister Stamps Katsura again.  I just love this little boy flying his fish.

DSC00812

I literally stuffed them full of gummy fish – they are practically bursting at the seams and I could hardly close the flap!
