Buddies

This is one of the new stamps that Sister Stamps has recently released called Buddies.  I received the washi paper as a gift and thought it would be great for a boy card.  Most of the other papers I have are floral and super girly.  So anyway, I found some buttons that kind of matched the color scheme and tied them with twine.  I did some paper piercing along the edge for more texture.

The boys are so cute playing leap frog!

Bride & Groom

We went to DH’s cousin’s wedding over the weekend.  This is the card that I made for the bride and groom.  I kept it simple and classic – black and white with pearls.

You can’t really see it in the first picture, so I had to play around with my settings to get a picture of the embossing.  I just did some white on white embossing with the Hello, Doily background stamp.

And I added a scalloped envelope to the inside of the card.  Guess I didn’t change the settings back after that last picture – I need to remember to look at the pictures that I take before I give the cards away so I can do re-takes if necessary!DSC01161

Four Seasons Thank You

I used the Four Seasons hostess stamp set for this card. I didn’t intend for this to look so wintery, but it kind of does look like a holiday card. You can’t tell from the picture, but the circle is punched out and the scalloped circle is popped up.

Boooo!

I was trying to make this card but discovered that my oval punch doesn’t want to work.  I thought it was because I was trying to punch 2 layers at once, but even when I was just punching one layer, it got stuck.  Guess it is time to buy a new one – or maybe try one of those techniques on Pinterest on how to fix punches!!

Anyway, back to the card – I embossed the front with the spider web embossing folder and the spiders are from the Googly Ghouls set.

This is what it looks like on the inside.  The Booo is from the Googly Ghouls set and the Happy Halloween is from Teeny Tiny Wishes.

And here is a side view of the card.

(Is it just me or do those little extra dots right above the spiders makes it look like they are getting splashed with water rather than a spider web?)

Serene Silhouettes Thank You

Here is another card using the Serene Silhouettes stamp set.  I made a more rustic looking card with the Woodgrain embossing folder.  I distressed the edges and sponged some Crumb Cake over the card stock.

I really like how this card turned out.

Serene Silhouettes Birthday

I think this is the first time I’ve used the Serene Silhouettes stamp set.  I also used the Delicate Designs embossing folder and added some pearls.

I found this sketch in the current Paper Crafts Magazine.  I’ve said this before, but I really should use sketches more often!

Perfectly Preserved Thanks

I was hesitant to get this Perfectly Preserved stamp set when if first came out since I didn’t think I would use it very much. But after seeing so many cards using this set, I couldn’t resist getting it.

And this Summer Starfruit color is starting to grow on me too.

Back to School treats

Tomorrow is back to school for my friend’s kids. She asked me to make some back to school treats for the staff at her kids’ school, so I immediately thought of apples for the teacher and the It’s a Wrap Occasions stamp set. There were four nuggets in each bag. For the tag, the Perfectly Preserved set was perfect, I’m so glad I broke down and bought it!
