Hostess Appreciation Event

This past weekend I went to a Hostess Appreciation Event that Kristin threw for all the gals who hosted a Stampin' Up! party with her last year. It was so much fun! She made place mats with DSP and had all kinds of goodies for us to take home. We each got a notebook with our initial on it, and a jar of goodies.
We also got to make a set of coasters by using Stazon ink. Look how cool they are!
And we made these super easy but so CUTE boxes using the envelope die. And she had stuff for us to fill it with too! She even wrapped every piece of candy with DSP to match the rest of the decorations!
I love going to Kristin's house for these events, I always come home with such great ideas!

Again??

My husband is out of town. He's my weatherman. This morning, I got ready, put on these shoes and went downstairs
...and saw this:
Snow! Again?! Really?!
I took my shoes off and decided to work from home today.

Sea Salt Dark Chocolate

This is my new favorite chocolate bar from Cost Plus. I have it on hand at all times. I love that sometimes I bite into a salt crystal. I've heard that someone makes a BACON chocolate bar and that its actually good! I've been on the lookout for it because I'm curious.

Thank You from Kris

My cousin sent me this thank you card. Isn't it cute how the butterfly comes off the page?!

We've both been sick these past few days, including Valentine's Day, but Greg still managed to buy me tulips :)

A Nod to the twins

My friend is pregnant with twins. This will be their first(s). They don’t know the genders yet, but I’ve already started looking around for things that these two little ones must have and found The Land of Nod. SOO cute!

The combination is to die for, especially with dark chocolate. If you haven't tried it, here are some of my local favorites.

2009 Year of the Ox

So I'm a little late for Chinese (Lunar) New Year, which was on January 26th, but I just saw this new stamp from the US Postal Service and I really like it. I think I need to order some.

Happy Groundhog Day!

Too bad there's more winter on the way.

Sorry no pictures, this weekend was busy. We went to our friend's 40th Birthday Party where they had Casino night. It was so much fun - Craps, Texas Hold'um and BlackJack. And lots of good food too!

Then on Sunday we watched the Super Bowl. We're anti-Steelers, as any true Seattleite should be, so we were disappointed with the outcome. I thought the commercials were a little disappointing too.

Today I started my core training at the gym. I've decided to run the
Rock 'n' Roll Seattle HALF marathon in June, so I need to get serious and start training. This will be my first marathon of any kind. I'm an indoor treadmill runner. I don't like to be too hot or too cold, and cars and the "elements" scare me. So this will be an adventure.

Happy Monday!
