I love making pinwheels, I think they’re so fun. But I think they are too bulky for cards cause you can’t really put them in an envelope, so I decided to make a pinwheel tag.
I think the piercing adds the perfect amount of detail.

I got the idea for this card from this card that I found on Pinterest. I loved the ideas of the cutouts to show the DSP behind it. I used the Fancy Fan textured embossing folder for the background and glossy white paper for the circles. I made a button using the Floral District designer fabric for more dimension.
I definitely stepped out of my comfort zone with using fabric on this card, but I had seen a demo with making these buttons and had to try it. It wasn’t very difficult and I think I will try to use more fabric in the future.
I CASED this card from Paper Creations by Mercedes. All I did was change out the butterflies to the Papillon Potpourri set and used the Curly Cute set for the sentiment, but I used the Four Frames stamp just like her card. I also used some Rhinestones for some added bling since I kept the rest of the card pretty simple.
Thanks Mercedes for the great layout!!
Yesterday was my nephew’s 2nd birthday, so of course I had to use Takeo from Sister Stamps for his card. I had made my nephew a boy’s day treat with the Sister Stamps boys images and he loves it. My sister asked him if it was him on the box, so now he think all the boys are him. He says that he is Big “K” and the boys are Little “K”.
He likes bright colors, so I used primary colors for this card and added some buttons for some texture. He also loves balloons, so this stamp was perfect.
I made another thank you card using Miyoko from Sister Stamps. You can’t tell from the picture, but I added some glitter to her cupcake and smooches to the flower in her hair.
I am addicted to Pinterest. I pin all kinds of stuff, especially card ideas. But when it comes time for me to make a card, I’m always drawing a blank. So I finally decided to scour though my pins and decided to use this card as the inspiration for my thank you card.
The picture is kind of terrible, but I like how it came out IRL. I used the Papillon Potpourri stamp set and matching Elegant Butterfly punch. I also used the Delicate Doilies stamp set over the En Francais stamp. The sentiment is from the Curly Cute stamp set.
Here is another card I made using Miyoko from Sister Stamps. I used the scrap paper from the Daba card on the previous post and embossed the background for some added texture. I also added some sakura flowers using my Wiki Caps die.
Have a great weekend! (Just noticed that it is Friday the 13th!)
Here’s a card I made using Daba from Sister Stamps. I love bunnies and he is one of my favorites. I put him inside an embossed frame to pop him out a little against all the pink on this card.
I think it is funny that I refer to Daba as a “he” but always put him on girly cards.
I got my Release #8 Sister Stamps last week and it was perfect timing since I needed to make a bunch of thank you cards. Here is the first card that I made using Miyoko.
Hope you had a great weekend! Thanks for stopping by!
My friend’s daughter recently had her 9th birthday, so I decided to make her a surprise pop-up card using Miyako from Sister Stamps. This is pretty much the same coloring as this card, I just adjusted for the pop-up design. You can’t really tell from the picture, but the heart has some pearly smooches on it.
On the tag part of the card, I punched some slits to hold some money.
Hope you have a great weekend!
I guess I forgot to post this card that I made for my dad for father’s day. I hardly use my letter dies because they’re so big, but they worked perfectly for this card. I kept the card pretty simple, but I like how it turned out.
Happy 4th of July!!
I discovered that you can make 4 envelopes that fit 3”x3” cards out of 1 sheet of DSP. And you can use the extra DSP on the 3”x3” cards so that it is a matching set.
I used some retired DSP and created these two sets. I used the Diagonal Scoring plate to create the envelopes.
Thanks for stopping by!
