First Tulip bloom

I came home from work today and found my first tulip opened! This year, I didn't get that many buds, and they're really small, but super huge leaves. I'm not sure if its because the bulbs are going bad or if it was because of the bad/weird weather we've been having.
We have 2 pots like this on our front porch. It'll look really good when all of the buds open.
