Dia de los Muertos

Here's what it looks like opened.
I did made a few other cards, but I don't want to post them until after I mail them out and the recipients get them, so they can be surprised.
Here it is again...
I used the Big Flowers set for this, which I just recently purchased because it's going to be discontinued.
The rest of the week is super busy for me. Today and tomorrow I'm setting up for a fundraising even for a non-profit group that I volunteer for. Then on Saturday I'm running in my first ever 1/2 marathon. This will be my first ever race - I've never been a runner, or an exerciser for that matter! LOL! I'm just hoping to finish and not get trampled... there's 25,000 people registered for the race.
This is the inside pocket.
Of course I had to use a Hello Kitty die.
I did the whiskers the easy way and just used my gel pen. I used a glitter pen for the dots in the scallops.
I used my gel pen to outline the "hello" to give it that shiny look. This is another new die that I recently got - I just used the "hello" from the phrase "hello kitty". So easy!
It really does help a garden for it to have sun and a "real" spring instead of the snow we had last year.
I also like how the new Sizzlits I got coordinate with the big dies. The little bee and the flowers from my new Sizzlit.
I used some really old alphabet sticker that I found to spell out "happy birthday". You can't see her very well in these pictures, but I used a gel pen to color over her dress to give it the shiny look.
Here's a close-up of Hello Kitty.
