Here's another card I made using the new SU bird punch. The card itself is light blue. I used my Nesties for the circles. I like the simple layout of this card.
My sister is having her first baby and it's a boy. My mom is throwing her a shower so I made these invitations. I'm really good a making girly cards, but boy cards are super hard for me... I'm so glad that I got the Fox and Friends SU set - it has been a lifesaver for me with all the people I know who are having boys this year! You can't really tell from the picture, but the card itself is cream, and then I layered the boarder punch on white.
And you might be able to see the textured yellow background in this picture.
Here's the card that I made for my co-worker's baby shower. I made it to match the favors that I made (see previous post). You can't really tell from the picture, but I embossed the yellow card stock to give it some texture. Thanks for stopping by!
I'm STILL loving my SU butterfly embosslit. I also just got the embossing folder. The large butterfly is so versatile, and perfect for adding bling! Here's a side view of the butterfly.
We're having a baby shower/lunch for one of my co-workers today. I'm so glad that I got the Fox and Friends stamp set from SU, it's so cute and great for baby stuff. And I'm still loving my SU die! She's having a boy, so I added a message on the inside of the favors.
Here's another card that I cased. I got the idea from Stamping with Lulu. I have a hard time making masculine cards, so I thought her idea of using the circle stamps was great... but I don't think mine turned out very masculine - LOL. I attached some circles using dimensionals to give the card more depth.
Auntie Jan sent us this super fancy Chinese New Year card. I'm the year of the Tiger, so this is really special for me. The tiger and character are on acetate. The card actually is a holder for the Year of the Tiger stamps. Isn't she so creative?! I LOVE it!
And here is a close-up of the inside of the card.
Thank you Auntie Jan!!
Happy Chinese New Year! And Happy Valentine's Day!
This year Chinese New Year is also Valentine's Day. I decided to make a two in one card which worked out really nice since both holidays are generally red. This is the Valentine's side. Here's the New Year's side. It's the Year of the Tiger, my year =)Instead of the usual red envelope for Lai See, I put the credit card in for visual, but I'll be putting money in here instead when I give these out.
I love my new SU envelope die. This is the one that come with the box. I think its so great that the envelopes fit inside the box - so cute! I used more of my new SU stamps.
These will be great little gift cards. And so quick to make!
Did you watch the Super Bowl? Or just the commercials? Or not at all? I usually watch the game, but this year I just wasn't into it, I didn't really have a favorite team. The commercials were funny and we did eat good food =)
I wanted to use my new SU butterfly embosslit and border punch and saw this cute card by Nancy at iStamp. Nancy's card is way cuter, but I still kinda like how mine turned out.
I only attached the middle of the butterfly so the wings would add some dimension and used some pearls for the middle.
I also decorated the inside with some of the extra butterflies. I usually don't decorate the inside, but I think it looks cute. And I got to use my new SU sale-a-bration stamp for the sentiment. Hope you have a great week!
