The weather's been off and on these past couple of weeks - some days amazingly sunny and in the 70s, the next rainy and back to the 40s. I managed to get some pictures from my garden on a nice day.
Not sure what this is, my friend gave me a bunch of plants last year that she guaranteed me would come back by themselves each year. This is one of them. First violets of the year.
I think these are lily of the valley, these were also given to me by my friend.
My daffodils are all open.
While we were watering them, these little suckers appeared - scared me to death. DH had to take the picture for me.
I bought some Japanese washi tape a few months ago but haven't used it till now. The tape is so pretty, I kind of didn't want to use it, but decided I already have enough supplies that I shouldn't hoard anymore stuff - LOL! (You can't really see it, but I used the sparkly VersaMark on the big strip of red paper to give it more detail.) Here's a close up of the tape, there's another row of dots on the other side of the card.
I've been trying to make some gender neutral cards - aka - cards for guys =). I think this one could pass as a "guy" card. What do you think? Thanks for stopping by!
We were in Hawaii last week and I came home with some really great stuff! This is the RAK from Jenny. Super cute box! The box was filled with die cuts from Island Scrapbooking. These will be great since I can't get them up here.
This RAK is from Aunty Jan, she's so thoughtful! She got me some stamps, flowers, ribbon and butterfly dew drops.
I have another RAK to share, but will put it in another post.
I've been trying to make some simple cards to have on hand for when I need them. Here's one of the thank you cards that I made using my SU stamps and punches.
Here's one more baby card I made for my friends who had their first baby in December. I finally got to meet the little guy and made this 3x3 gift card. I really like the heart embossing folder instead of the plain polka dots. We found this super cute outfit at Target on the mainland! This is the gift we gave with the card. For a while, everyone I knew was having girls. But it seems the tide is changing because now everyone I know is having boys. I guess it just goes in cycles like that.
I got this glitter and felting kit as a gift and I finally decided to try it out. It also came with foil, but I wasn't able to get that to work very well. I was really impressed with how good the felting came out.
I found this super cute punch art baby from Blinkin', Thinkin', & Inkin' blog. It was perfect timing because I had to make a card for my sister's baby shower. Here's a close-up of the baby. I was so happy that it used punches that I already had!
These are the favors for my sister's baby shower that my mom is throwing for her. I actually made these first, then I made the invitations. I used the Fox and Friends SU stamp set. The monkey is on the front. And the lion is on the back.
I have to ship these to my mom ahead of time so she can find the goodies to put inside =)

These are some Girl's Day tags that I made. Here's a close up. I used the sparkly Versamark for the flowers on the background.
I used them on these bags that I gave out to the women for Girl's Day, since I thought they would like these better than the M&M's =)
Aunty Jan is so sweet! Look at all the stuff she sent me for Girl's Day, and the super cute card she made too! Got some cookies and paper and cute little embellishments. Hope you had a great Girl's Day! Thank you Aunty!!
