Sister Stamps Release 10 - Horse

I’m super excited to be a part of the Sister Stamps guest design team for their Release 10.  Yesterday I posted my Snake card, so today I have a card using the Horse. 

My sister is the year of the horse and to me the most spoiled of us kids (though not sure she would agree - haha), so I thought the sentiment was fitting.

I’m super excited to be part of the guest design team for Sister Stamps Release 10 – the first 2 images of their Chinese Zodiac series.  These stamps will be available on Friday, December 1st.

This snake reminds me of Sir Hiss in the Disney Robin Hood movie.  In the movie, Sir Hiss really emphasized all the “s”, so I decided to do the same on my card.

Sister Stamps Release #10

Sister Stamps next release is the first two images from their Chinese Zodiac set – Snake and Horse.  Aren’t they cute?!

Mariko Pop-up Card

I know I have been MIA for a super long time.  Things are so busy with the day job that I barely even knew about Hurricane Sandy or the election – not good!!  I am hoping that things will get better in the next week or two as I will be getting more help (yay!). 

I was able to make this birthday card for my friend’s daughter, and I even got it to her on time!  This is Mariko from Sister Stamps.  This is what the card looks like when it is “closed” (sorry for the glare from the flash). 

 

And here it is when you pull the tab to “open” the card.  I really like these pop-up cards.  They aren’t too hard to make but they are really fun.  I always add some slits to the slider piece so that I can include some money or a gift card.
