I got my Stampin' Up! order on Friday and have been playing with some of my new goodies. This was the fasted card ever to make. I used the new embossing folder, then stamped white ink over the embossed flowers and attached the ribbon that I found at Michaels. Super fast! Thanks for stopping by! Have a great week!
My Aunty Jan (super creative, I've posted stuff she's made) from Hawaii is visiting with her daughter in Portland and they both came up for my stamp party last weekend. She brought me all this paper, and there were 2 colors of paper in each pack, which she labeled for me! She's so sweet!! And look at the super cute Hello Kitty origami paper! Thank you so much! I love all the paper!
These are the cards we made at the Stampin' Up! party I hosted over the weekend. We had a blast! And Kristin always bring such great projects for us. I love the treat cups! I had to order some!
This card was more of a lesson in tying bows. I think my bow actually turned out pretty good.
We go to use flocked paper for this card. Its a simple design but the flocked paper makes it special.
I tried to take a picture of the paper, but not sure if you can see the texture. I LOVE these ornament stamps and the matching punch. It makes it so easy to use! I ordered this too! The colors didn't come out very well in the picture though.
We used the 2-way glue to adhere the glitter. (I still have glitter all over my house! LOL)
This is the last card we made. We embossed the wheat stamp.
I love my Martha Stewart boarder/corner punch. I made this card just so I could use it - LOL. You can't see it from the pictures, but I used a 3-D glue dot so the 2 layers of flowers would be separate. Also, the center of the flower is a crystalbling.
This is my first attempt at this kind of folded card. I don't think I creased it very well, cause it doesn't stay closed on its own, but I think it still came out pretty cute. Plus, you can't go wrong with Hello Kitty - or actually, I think this is Mimi.
I got 2 RAKs in the mail yesterday - what a great surprise!! This first one is from my gf. She sent 2 books to hold cards, and the super cute cork board with gitterly pushpins and post-its. Here's what the brown and blue one looks like inside.
And this one is super cute - I had to show you a close up of the cover...
and the cool inside. There's envelopes in the left pocket and clear sleeves are holding cards on the right. Its like a photo album, but to hold your cards. So cute!
And Jenny sent this card to me. She also sent me some EZ Mount so I could try it out. So cute, ya?!
On Saturday we rode up the Blackcomb lift to the top. We took the Peak 2 Peak over to the Whistler side for lunch. Then we took this other lift called the Peak Express to a higher part of Whistler.
It was really steep and parts of it got kind of scary.
We got to the top okay. There's a trail that you can take to hike back down to the lower lifts, so we did that. It wasn't too bad since it was all down hill.
People were building the little Olympics man all over the place.
We made it back to the bottom and took the Peak 2 Peak back over to Blackcomb for the 3rd and last time.
On our way down the Blackcomb lift, we saw 3 bears - it was so cool! We had met a lady the day before who said that her guide told her that you can sometimes see bears. We didn't see any that day, but we were so luck to catch these as they strolled across the path. (You can enlarge this picture by clicking on it.)
