Here is one more Christmas card that I forgot to show you. It is a gift card holder. I used the Letters to Santa DSP and a retired stamp set.
Christmas sure did fly by! I can’t believe it is almost 2012!

Today is my friend’s daughter’s birthday, so I whipped up this Ayako Sister Stamps card for her. I tried to match the colors to the background paper that I chose.
I made a little pocket for some cash using the soon-to-be-released Stampin’ Up! Framelit die. I just cut off one of the edges.
I hope she has a great birthday!
These are the tags that I made to fill up those up-cycled tins that I posted previously.
SNEAK PEAK: The first two tags are made using the Labels Collection Framelits dies and the Apothecary Art stamp set that will be available on Jan 4th in the new Occasion Mini catalog. I can’t wait for the Mini to come out, I love so many products from it.
The next two tags were cut using the Two Tags die. I really love that die and use it all the time.
I hope you have a very Merry Christmas!
I’ve been saving all the tins that I get from my tea thinking that one day I would do something with them. Well, this was the year! I decorated a bunch of tins and filled some of them with SU! embellishments for my crafty friends, and the others I filled with all occasion gift tags.
I used the new Stampin’ Up! Labels Collection Framelits that will be coming out in the occasions mini catalog which you can purchase starting on Jan 4th. The Framelits fit perfectly around the Upper Case Spencerian Alphabet.
And of course I couldn’t resist making one using Sister Stamps. This is the same tin with a different girl on the front and back. The left is Miyono and the right is Ayako.
Thanks for stopping by!
I needed a gift card holder but wanted to include some little candies with the gift card so it wouldn’t just be the card by itself. So I decided to use my Bag with Scallops die and the gift cards fit perfectly with a handful of little chocolates.
I used the Delightful Decorations stamp set along with a retired stamp set for the sentiment. I added the scallop dots ribbon for that extra touch.
I had to keep them simple as I had a bunch to make, but I still like how they turned out. I’m also glad to be using one of my older dies that I sometimes forget about!
Amidst all the holidays, I had to make a sympathy card. I always hate making sympathy cards, especially when it is for a specific reason rather than for the “just in case” stash.
I used the Fabulous Florets stamp set and stuck with a monochromatic color scheme. I think the ribbon helped to make this design work.
The sentiment is from Teeny Tiny Wishes.
Hope you have a great weekend!
The next release of Sister Stamps is coming out on January 14th, 2012. They are perfect for Valentine’s Day!
Check out their blog for more information and for upcoming sneak peaks! They also have links to stores where you can pre-order your stamps!
Here is my second Sister Stamps Christmas Card. This one uses Setsuna. I used the same technique as my previous card where I stamped directly on to the card base and then sponged around the image.
I also used Moonlight Smooch ink on his beard and hat.
And here is the same inside that I used on the Shimo-san card with Kiyoko and her sparklers.
Visit the Sister Stamps blog for more information about their stamps.
Here is my Yuki Sister Stamps Christmas Card. She is still my favorite Sister Stamp to date. I sprayed some Vanilla Shimmer Smooch onto the Cherry Cobbler card stock and used the stripes embossing folder on the card base for some added texture.
Here is a close up where you might be able to see the Moonlight Smooch that I added to the stocking collar.
I made another card using Shimo-san, but I forgot to take a picture of it before I mailed them all out. Sigh. This time of year is just so hectic! I think we have a pretty calm weekend ahead, which is good since I have to do a lot of baking!
I made 2 different cards using the Sister Stamps, they have the same inside, but the outsides are different. My first one is using Shimo-san. Since there’s a lot of coloring to do with these stamps, I tried to keep the card itself simple. So I stamped directly onto the card base and then sponged around the image to add more texture.
I also added some Moonlight Smooch Pearlized Accent ink on the snow and some Dazzling Details to the falling snow.
And here is the inside of the card using Kiyoko.
Of course I added more Dazzling Details to the sparklers.
Check out the Sister Stamps blog for more information on how to get these super cute stamps!
This year I made a few different cards to send out. This is another one. I used the Stitched Stockings stamp set and matching Stocking Builder punch. I added some texture to the card base by embossing it with the Stripes embossing folder and added some Cherry Cobbler 1/2” Scallop Dots ribbon.
I also used the Designer Frames embossing folder to accent the stocking.
I’ll have a couple more cards to show you next week. I’m so glad it is Friday! Hope you have a great weekend!
I just finished writing out all my Christmas cards yesterday morning and then got them all addressed and stamped and in today’s mail! (My DH is another story, his stack is still sitting in a pile on the corner of the desk.)
Anyway, this is one of the cards that I made this year. I used the Bright Hopes stamp set and the Lace Ribbon boarder punch.
I also added some red glitter glue to the stamp for some added decoration.
I am slowly crossing things off of my to do list. We finished our shopping this past weekend, I have all my gifts wrapped, and now I just need to pack them for shipping!
The petite pocket die is one of my new dies that I got recently. I decided to use it for all my Christmas money holders this year. You can use it for gift cards too, but it is a little tight.
I just love this punch art Santa and had to use him on these holders.
Here is what the back looks like. I used some baker’s twine to secure the envelopes closed.
Have a great weekend! I do have my Christmas cards done, but need to get them sent out before I post them here so that the recipients receive them first. I hope to have some other projects to show you next week.
Yesterday was my good friend Linda’s birthday. It happened to land on Thanksgiving this year. I hope she had fun! This is the card that I made for her.
I used some Mocha Morning DSP and spritzed some vanilla shimmer on the black card stock.
No midnight shopping for me. I much preferred being in my bed, cozy and warm. I may venture out today, I’m still debating. This is the weekend we decorate our house for Christmas, so I have a lot of boxes to pull out of storage. Happy (safe) shopping to you all!
