The box and the flowers were made using Stampin' Up! dies. It didn't take very long at all.
Close-up of the ribbon I used. I got the ribbon from Joanns.
And I used a Build-a-Brad from Stampin' Up! and cut out the Hello Kitty face from some scrap paper I had.
The bag itself is made using Stampin' Up! DSP and card stock. And I used some Velcro that I got from Joanns.
I used different punches to attach the clasp and the handles, but I think they worked out fine. I also used my new Eyelet boarder punch that I got from Stampin' Up!
I was invited to attend the SBStampers' Spring Fling Event. They're a group of Stampin' Up! demonstrators here in the Puget Sound area and I got to attend as the guest of Kristin. I met a bunch of really nice, fun and talented women there. They're so creative! I got a ton of great ideas and we made these purses and matching cards as the make-and-take.
If I'm brave, I might try to make another one of these... they pre-cut and scored pretty much everything for you, and there were women walking around helping us so we didn't mess up. Even with all that I made some mistakes and it took some time to make.
